I guess I don't have the right topic

 

I opened myself bare,

Gave you the deepest parts of me

The ones only I had ever known.

You made me feel safe.

But I guess it was just a wave,

One that comes and goes...

And now it’s gone for good.

My heart still beats for you,

My body aches for your warmth.

My life feels lost without you.

Maybe I should’ve known

The signs were there,

But everything seemed perfect.

I guess I was deluded,

Thinking we could’ve been

Something real.

Something lasting
